Part Time Cleaner – Miltown Malbay

Flexiforce, A Hartley People Company are currently recruiting for a Part Time Caretaker/Cleaner (10 hours per week, 8AM – 10AM Monday- Friday) in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare; who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within an education setting. They will be responsible for ensuring high standards of hygiene and contributing to the effective running of all facilities. The role involves general cleaning, and support duties across various areas, with attention to health and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and upkeep of classrooms, offices, toilet areas, corridors, and common spaces, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Manage waste and recycling processes, including the collection and disposal of refuse across the Campus.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure heating systems and other facility-related equipment are operating effectively and in line with campus requirements.
• Safely handle and store keys, hazardous materials, cleaning equipment, and tools.
• Support health and safety protocols, including fire alarm testing, fire drills, and reporting of hazards.
• Prepare the Campus for special events, ensuring facilities are ready and presentable.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance tasks during holiday periods to ensure ongoing facility readiness.
• Assist with stock control, including monitoring and reordering of supplies such as heating oil and gas.
• Act as a keyholder, providing secure access to buildings when required.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and rotating duties as necessary.
• Participate in mandatory training and stay up to date with required certifications and safety practices.
