Job Description:
Flexiforce, a Hartley People Company, is recruiting a Store person for an educational facility in Waterford City. This role involves receiving, storing, rotating, and issuing food and catering supplies while maintaining accurate stock control and high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety.
The ideal candidate will also have retail and hospitality experience, including working with cash registers and supporting corporate events in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and check deliveries against documentation
- Store and rotate food stock correctly (FIFO)
- Issue catering supplies to kitchen and catering staff
- Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock checks
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Keep storage areas clean, secure, and well organised
- Assist with ordering supplies and supporting audits
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and process payments accurately when required
- Provide excellent customer service across retail and hospitality areas
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of corporate hospitality events
- Ensure event and service areas are kept clean, organised, and well-presented always
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail and/or hospitality
- Experience using a cash register / POS system
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit with strong attention to detail
