Financial Analyst

FlexiForce is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Financial Analyst to join a major capital development programme in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Ireland’s most significant infrastructure projects, supporting financial governance, cost management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role

Reporting to the Contracts & Claims Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial planning, cost control, forecasting and reporting across a large-scale construction and infrastructure programme.

Working as part of a collaborative project team, you will help ensure robust financial governance while providing accurate financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial oversight and cost monitoring across the programme.
  • Track project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Assist with financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare financial reports, variance analysis and cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor contractor payments and project cost performance.
  • Support earned value analysis and cost-to-complete forecasting.
  • Assist in implementing cost control measures and financial governance processes.
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to achieve financial objectives.
  • Produce accurate financial data and reports to support programme leadership.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • A QQI Level 8 qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a busy finance environment involving financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure or capital projects.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Power BI
  • Financial management software
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Cost management and project accounting
  • ACONEX Cost Module (desirable)
