Operational Administrative Officer

Public Sector | Full-Time | Temporary – 3 Month Contract

We are seeking an organised and proactive Operational Administrative Officer to join a busy public sector team on a temporary contract. This role combines general clerical and administrative duties with meeting coordination, minute taking, and operational support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a structured, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and circulate documentation
  • Attend meetings and take accurate minutes
  • Maintain records, databases, and filing systems
  • Manage emails, correspondence, and general enquiries
  • Support managers and teams with operational tasks and reporting
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with organisational procedures

Requirements

  • Previous administration or clerical experience
  • Experience taking meeting minutes and coordinating meetings
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Familiarity with governance or committee administration
